ADVANCE STUDENTS 2 YEARS IN ONE YEARS TIME
There are 4
worksheets (Monday thru Thursday) included in each Lesson "VB" link below.
Each Lesson corresponds to what is taught in one week in a typical classroom setting. Worksheets are normally given to classroom students at the pace of one per day. However, in situations where an entire classroom is reading (on average) one or more years below grade level - the teacher could give two workshseet activities per day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon). This will advance the students' reading levels at a pace of 2 years in one year's time.
TUTORING - ADVANCE 2, 3 OR 4 YEARS IN ONE YEAR
Teachers or parents using the materials in a "one-on-one"
tutoring situation should be able to advance students at a pace of 2, 3 or even 4 worksheets per day, thereby advancing students 2, 3 or 4 years in one year's time.

HOMEWORK ACTIVITY
After completing a single Vocabulary Worksheet, there is a Homework Activity (HW Link) that can be given to reinforce what was learned on the worksheet activity. This takes about 10-15 minutes and should be done with at least some parent involvement.
FRIDAY TEST
After completing the 4 vocabulary worksheets, we also provide what is called the "Friday Test" (FT link). This uses a powerful technique known as "Definition Clues" to test mastery of all words taught in the 4 vocabulary activities. Definition clues are similar to riddles and and makes for a motivational and effective tool to assess and reinforce mastery of the 24+ words. Words used in the activities below have
been arranged in sequential order from "Most Common" at the beginning
Lessons to the "Lesser Common" vocabulary words toward the end.
This provides you the most efficient order for instruction throughout
the school year. There are 4 worksheets per week which gives a
total of over 140 worksheets for the school year.
HOLD ON... THERE'S MORE!

after teaching the daily words in our ReadingKEY Classroom Program. This is a completely different activity in which the teacher takes 15-20 minutes to teach the vocabulary words to the entire class using a series of memory tricks and games.
